Dry cupping therapy in Manchester

Dry cupping with haloe is suction only, with the skin left unbroken. A calm way in if you are new to cupping, or if you would rather not have hijama. Tuesdays at Milton Hall, Deansgate, or at home across Greater Manchester.

What is dry cupping?

Dry cupping places cups on the skin and draws a gentle vacuum, so the skin and the tissue beneath lift into the cup. The skin is never broken. Cups may stay in one place for a few minutes or be moved slowly across oiled skin. Clients most often describe a firm pulling tug that settles into warmth, and many find the session deeply relaxing. Sessions run from 45 minutes for the face to two hours for scalp and full body, and every cupping session includes unlimited cups and black seed oil to take home.

haloe offers complementary wellness therapy to support relaxation, circulation and general wellbeing. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Dry cupping or hijama?

Dry cupping is suction alone. Hijama, or wet cupping, adds a few small, superficial incisions after the first round of suction. If you want to try cupping without broken skin, or you are not sure which you need, dry cupping is the gentle place to start, and Halima will talk you through both before anything begins. Who books dry cupping?

People who sit at a desk all day and carry it in their shoulders. People who train hard and want to feel looser afterwards. People who are always tired and want a reset. Face and head cupping is popular with clients who want their skin to feel fresher and their scalp to feel lighter. Dry cupping is complementary wellness care for relaxation, everyday tension and general wellbeing, not a medical treatment, and haloe makes no claims about any condition.

Will it leave marks?

Usually, yes. Circular marks are a normal response to suction and fade within a few days to two weeks. They are not bruises in the usual sense and are not painful. If you have something coming up where marks would matter, tell Halima and she will plan the session around it.
